🌱Echoes of the Herd: Nourish

Welcome to March

Welcome to March, a month the herd meets through transition and integration. This is a season between seasons—when warmth arrives in brief glimmers, when snow returns unexpectedly, and when the land begins to stir beneath the surface.

The sandhill cranes return overhead. Small patches of green begin to appear in the pasture. The air softens one day and sharpens the next. Nothing is fully one season or the other.

The horses respond the same way they always do—by staying with what is actually present.

They do not rush the thaw. They do not force the pasture to grow. They move, pause, orient, and adapt as conditions change around them.

This month, we are also preparing to welcome a new member to the herd.

Herd integration is never rushed. Horses approach one another with space, curiosity, and caution. Proximity comes before pressure. Nervous systems orient. Trust unfolds through time and shared conditions.

This month invites you to do the same.

Let the season soften the urgency to resolve everything at once. Notice what in your life is still integrating—still orienting, still finding its place. Allow expansion and uncertainty to coexist.

March does not demand clarity or arrival. It asks only that you stay present to the process—to the small signs of thawing, to the shifts already underway, and to the quiet intelligence of pacing.

Below you’ll find your March Equine Wisdom Card and Somatic Practice—companions for moving through transition with steadiness, curiosity, and care.

🌱 March Reflection Prompts — The Season Between

Where in your life are you noticing signs of thawing or quiet movement—even if the full shape of what’s emerging is not yet clear?

What does pacing look like for you right now? Where might proximity—rather than pressure—support steadiness or integration?

When you imagine the herd meeting a new season or welcoming a new member, where do you notice curiosity, spaciousness, or softening in your body—and where do you feel anticipation, caution, or the need to slow down?

Warm wishes from our herd to yours. Thank you for being part of our herd’s care as you tend to yourself, the transitions you are moving through, and the conditions that support your own becoming.
